What does a brown recluse spider look like?

Can someone give me a descriptive explanation of what a brown recluse spider looks like? Also, maybe what a wolf spider looks like. I found a spider in my room and it was about an inch long, brown, maybe marking on abdomen, not too thick, and legs not too long. i couldnt get a good look at it, but it was bigger than other spiders ive seen. please no pictures! i honestly have a phobia of spiders and cannot even look at pictures or else i would do that. so someone please help me figure it out, im scared to go back in my room!
